Family photos are available

Crazy! Kids all over the place. Plus, I was in such a hurry to get them done, I showered both kids and realized later Isaac’s hair was still wet. It looks like its greased over…ewwwww.

Here is the gallery. Actually you click on the album for it, than you can click on the slideshow link at the top. As you can see, lots of humor! ha ha!

Chaos in the studio

Great grandma Louise called to put in her request for “professional photos of the three great grandchildren together.” It was Jacob’s last day in Oregon, so I set up the studio for my first ever studio session.

It was a riot! Jacob didn’t want to stay on the backdrop. Isaac was listening so nicely, but Xander was racing around the room. It wasn’t perfect lighting, and there are a ton of outtakes, but I think Grandma will be happy. All of the images are proofed and ready to go on the website tomorrow. I’ll be including ALL of the outtakes, because they not only show the newbie in a studio, but the great personalities of three boys.

Comments are working now. Thanks for the heads-up, Brothers Gentry.

First movie!

Great Grandma Louise

….has a sweet ride for the kids!

Jacob!

Our nephew from the East coast:) Here he is!

We had a full day at the zoo, and look forward to a trip to the beach and more. Isaac and Xander are having fun with their cousin.

Jason gets the Macbook

Since I am cutting back my hours at work, and money will be a little snug, we had to go shopping! Why do we do that? And when two geeks go shopping they don’t come home with shoes or a bag of new clothes.

Here we are opening the new Macbook. We spent a good 10 minutes with the “iSight” camera, warping our faces and laughing hysterically.

We don’t have this cool feature on our Dell monitors. I should mention, the portrait on the wall, behind the sofa, is NOT that HUGE. Wow!

And I have to wait 3-5 business days for my splurge. We are getting a video camera!!! I am still enjoying photography immensely, but cinematography has been interesting me…and seems like another level of knowledge I would love to explore. With a good foundation of aperture, light, composition, white balance, lenses…etc, we could both have fun applying this to a fully adjustable, HD video camera.

Our first feature is sure to be starring Super Isaac and his trusty sidekick, Xander Man. The three minute film, might not be released for more than a year. I assume it will take me that long to figure out all the buttons.

The joy in learning your mom and dad’s name for the first time.

It seems like kids go through a little phase of learning their parent’s names and testing out the level of response they will get when using them. Xander has just put it all together, and now we are “Jason” and “Zoe.”

Yesterday his goal was to somehow fit our names into each sentence…”Nice job, Zoe and Jason!” “Ummmm, Zoe?” followed by nothing, because he prematurely used my name without an actual conversation in mind.

Here he is, tonight, with his typical 2.5 year old tude, he has actually had since he could exhibit any kind of personality. Just like his mom….Zoe.

One stinkin’ night away from the kids in the last five years…

…and we live it up in a swank hotel, get our drink on, do a little dancing, do a little smooching on the city streets at night. We did it all! One thing we did not do, is pay our usual strict attention to pregnancy prevention measures. The optimistic number of condoms I packed (even though one would have been sufficient), remained in their packages at the end of the weekend.

When we returned home, and back to the reality that is our life, we also regained our sensibility. Surely one time would not be a problem?

Oh yes, apparently it was. We have now come to realize that our little family of four will have to make room for one more, expected in March.

This is actually my 4th pregnancy, having lost the first baby at 25 weeks. Each pregnancy has gotten worse and worse, as far as high blood pressure, heart arrythmias, swelling, weight gain…etc. I am going to cut back on work, and hope this one is better.
